A hurried post
I can imagine that YOU managed over 2000 words. Afterall, you are one crappy person after my own heart. But I must say, it is quite a feat, no doubt. I think I've run out of ideas to speak of, hence my post will not excede 1000+ words. Besides, I'm gonna have lunch with my bloody nephew and hence... Really, really, Rachel... How could you actually DOUBT an ELDDS member..? You know that it is utterly preposterous. ELDDS members, I am sure, can manage about, say, 2000+ in probably an hour or something. Well, I had lunch while typing away busily for your post and hence... Probably an hour. I'm sure we all know that I'm not exactly Ms. Fast Eater, so I shan't insult myself no furthur. You wrote 1100+ for a Commonwealth Essay Compeitition in Primary 6? That's amazing. What did you actually write about..? "My daily routine"..? Well, according to your busy schedule, I am sure that you have more than 1100+ words to express it in. When I was in Primary 6, my compositions were 6 pages long. I have since retired and now I guess I only write about.. 3 pages..? Now, really, I don't intend to boast, but people with great achievements tend to speak of them in a more.. humbled.. version and hence others who are jealous of their accomplishments hence deem them as "boasting" of their successes.
I realise that I sound almost.. Philosophical.. today. What's with all the "hence(s)" going around..? I'm gonna sound like Confucius or Aristotle today. To which, I must say, that one of Aristotle's philosophical quotes have been slightly offensive. His quote on politics, that of: "So it is naturally with the male and the female; the one is superior, the other inferior; the one governs, the other is governed; and the same rule must necessarily hold good with respect to all mankind." Well, well. Is he sexist or what..? The
MALE is the one who is more superior and is the one who governs the world..? Darn Aristotle. Really, really. Such impertinence. But, I have to say, I do agree with the statement to a little extent. The present society is built upon the shoulders of men. Hence, Aristotle's comment is currently applicable to present society. However, because women, after being oppressed for such a long time, are starting to stand up and fight for their own rights, which I would presume, to be correct. Afterall, that is when you get the "Ladies' Night" and "Girls rule, boys drool" or the "You go girl!" terms. However, what will become of men if they were deprived of their female counterparts..? In history even, women who stand up for themselves in society -- some sit down even, e.g. Rosa Parks, who had refused to budge when she was asked by a man [I refused to put the "gentle" infront of the man] to give up her seat. No doubt, great Ladies of society. So Aristotle's citation will not be able to be appropriate to be brought into play of the future society, because then, it will be run by women.Oh shit, I wrote so much about that bloody Aristotle. I must had too much coffee, hence too much caffeine. Anyway, I never did do research on
caffeine before. Is it bad or something..? According to Wikipedia, caffeine can cause "nervousness, irritability, anxiety, tremulousness, muscle twitching (hyperreflexia), insomnia, and heart palpitations". Okay, so maybe I didn't suffer from caffeine. Nevertheless, I have no idea what I'm suffering from. Anyhow, I'm starting to post. So maybe I have a headstart of 500+ words..?Okay, 604 words, to be exact. That is, according to MS Word. Hopefully Bill Gates is correct. If all goes well, I'll be able to complete 3000 words, as Rachel
helpfully suggested. God bless me.
1. (whatthehell?! this again?!) SubjectsFurthur questioning is no use, Rachel. Even I am most surprised as to why I would have chosen such a bloody boring subject like Geography. I used to question Pure Geography students why they chose to study such a stupid subject cos there is "nothing absolutely interesting about rocks". Honestly until now, I don't even know why the hell I bothered to study a whole load of crap about volcanoes. Not that I'm gonna be a farmer on the volcanoes in future or a specialist on volcanoes. That's just so pointless. But I guess that I have no choice but to take Geography because it's the only crap subject that I can bullshit, and still score. I cannot bullshit in Literature because Literature teachers don't intend to read crap. They want a more.. holistic.. sort of structure. They want substance, they want solid, liquid and gas, all rolled up into one. I, am mainly made up of hot gas, hence, I am unable to give them the various forms of states in a package. Wait a minute. ME -- hot gas?!?! Trust me, I'm lying. <-- I like that. TRUST me, I'm LYING. ;]Actually, I don't understand the difference between a liquidifed solution and an aqeous solution. There is a difference? Is it because in a liquidified solution e.g. water, the atoms are joined together in a molecular structure and they flow about in the liquid as one molecule; whereas in an aqeuous solution, the atoms, hydrogen and oxygen, move around the solution as atoms, not as one molecule? I have no idea, and I don't intend to do research on it. Say, is water actually made up of gas? That's so bloody weird. If I remember correctly, Hydrogen burns in air to form water. And since hydrogen and oxygen are both gases, according to the periodic table, how can 2 gases form a liquid? Tsktsk. Science. It's getting to my head. I'll be saying e = mc2 later on. Besides, did you know that there is an element called einsteinium? That's so cool. There's one called Germanium too. And another called Francium. Scientists..
You haven't bought your books yet? And don't worry, Literature books for both Pure and Elective students are the same. So we're gonna be discussing about the characters that we like on this blog next year. The Glass Menagerie is a fantastic book. You should read it. Only setback is that it's a play-book, meaning the entire book is a script. Yes, it is weird. I'm only starting to read The Whale Rider. It's a book about a tribal group and they've to elect a new chief, but the lead character is a girl and her grandfather thinks she's unfit to take over the role of the chief. So we're back to the same topic of prejudice again. I didn't read it in 52 mintues. I read it in 53. Its exciting, and the plot is simple enough for it to be performed on stage. I hope I get to play a part, if we ever have a play like that. Yes, I am honoured by all your confessions for your love for me, not to mention embarrased. ;]
Okay, I'm running outta time, so I'm gonna just skip to topic 5 and hopefully end it off. I'll make up for this for my next post.
2. Holiday Schedule, and a bit of PCDYeah, my holiday schedule is packed. But i'm sorta running outta time now, so I'll post my entire schedule, once again, in the next post. No, I haven't heard Don't Cha in Simlish. I didn't even know there was a language like that. Yes, it is pretty cool to actually come up with a language. I can't imagine people talking in Simlish or Elvish or Troll. That's one kind of weird. Your sister is interesting. She's so young and naive..Well, I guess I've done most of my Holiday Homework. I guess.
3. RandomsWell, yeah. I guess its pretty cool for both of us to actually meet each other somewhere in the world besides here. Its surprising too, and a little sad. Who knows when we'll have the chance to actually see each other again?
Jinhow is scary. The words he uses when he's talking to me over msn is surprising. How old do you think he is..? He looks like.. 28 - 30 or something, yet he sounds like an 18 year old kid. Surprising and scary. Well, yeah. Its creepy that he thinks its cool to be able to keep in touch with us. Cool just so isn't the word to use. I don't suppose the other Drama teachers still keep in touch with their students too. I can't imagine walking on Orchard with him, a couple of teachers and us. Oh god, tell me he's not serious. Did you ask Michellina about it..? I was laughing at the school excursion thing. Yes, maybe it'll look like a friggin school excursion. ;]
I will watch Step Up someday. And I'll give you my address next time we meet over msn or something... you ought to give me yours too, so I can send a card back.
Okay, I think I'd better end here now.. My nephew was waiting 17 minutes ago. So bye then.
Tata
Love,
ME
